The Euphony Story: 26 Years of Music Education
From a small home-based piano studio in 1997 to a vibrant music community in Seawoods, this is how we grew.
This collage is a snapshot of our history, showing how Euphony began and evolved. From early recitals with my first students to big stage concerts, it tells the story behind the music and our journey over the years.
This is where it all started. In 1997, our founder Bela Ma'am began her journey as a piano and keyboard home tutor. This photo from an early recital shows the first seeds of what would grow into Euphony.
From the beginning, sharing music was key. This photo shows an intimate student performance, where young learners first experienced the joy and confidence of playing for others. This philosophy of 'music with heart' continues today.
In 2008, Euphony was officially born. This picture shows our first group of students. What started with piano and keyboard soon grew to include drums, guitar, and singing, shaping Euphony into a true home for music.
This video reflects on the journey of our founder. The idea for a music school in her 30s grew into the community you see today, filled with happy, thriving students. It's a story of trusting a dream and following it through.
About Our Story: How Euphony Began
What started in 1997 with just one student and a piano in my living room has grown into a bustling community in Seawoods. It was never about building a brand, but about sharing the joy of music, one note at a time, while sticking to the firm belief that real growth takes patience, practice, and the right guidance.
How We Began
When I first started teaching piano and keyboard back in 1997, it was just me and a few students at home. Music was my passion, and teaching became my second love. Over those years, the small room where we practiced saw laughter, mistakes, and finally, the music that brings us all together. By 2008, Euphony was officially born, expanding our family from a few learners to nearly 100 students.
The 'No Shortcuts' Philosophy
People often ask why we are so strict about music theory. The truth is, you cannot become a musician in 30 days. We follow the Trinity College music curriculum because it provides a foundation. Whether you are learning the guitar, ukulele, drums, or vocals, we ensure you understand the 'why' behind the notes. It takes time, yes, but that is how we build musicians who can actually play and create, not just mimic.
More Than a School
Euphony in Seawoods is a second home. We see shy kids find their voice during our sessions and senior students take the lead in arranging our annual concerts. It is about laughter, a bit of chaos, and growing together. Whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your skills, we are here to support your journey. If you ever feel stuck or don't understand a concept, just ask—we are here to help you get it right.
