If you are looking for that perfect dark, rich stain, remember that the quality of the henna matters just as much as the design itself. I use only 100% natural, chemical-free henna paste, which takes a little time and sabr (patience) to develop into a deep maroon color. I mix my own henna paste using high-quality essentials, without any harsh chemicals that might irritate the skin. When I apply the design, the paste sits on your skin, and keeping it warm while avoiding water for the first few hours is key. The color deepens over 48 hours, which is why I always encourage my clients to have their mehendi applied a couple of days before the main event.
