About Behind the Scenes: The Henna Process

Everything begins with my homemade, organic henna cones, which I mix myself using lavender and eucalyptus essential oils. That is the secret behind the deep, rich maroon stain you see in my photos. It is not just about the design, but the quality of the paste that ensures it lasts and looks beautiful on your skin.

My process is built on 'sabr' and 'shukr'. I don't believe in rushing the application or using harsh, chemical-filled cones. When you book a home visit with me anywhere in Bangalore, here is what goes into your session:

The Organic Difference

I make my own henna cones, mixing pure henna powder with essential oils like lavender and eucalyptus. These oils are essential for color payoff. Because I keep them organic, they are safe for everyone—even if you have sensitive skin. I am a firm believer that good ingredients make a better stain.

The Application

Precision is key. Whether I am doing an intricate bridal piece or a simple floral design, I focus on layering the henna evenly. I want the design to look crisp and clean, which takes patience. If you watch me work, you will see me layering the paste with a steady hand.

The Aftercare

This is the step most people skip, but it is vital for that dark color. I use a lemon-sugar (nimbu-chini) sealant spray after the application. This helps the henna stick longer to your skin, allowing it to stain deeper. My goal is to send you home with a design that stays dark for days, not just hours.

I offer home visits across Bangalore and also welcome clients to my studio in Benson Town. If you have an idea or a specific design you love, send it over. We can customize the flow, add your name or initials, and make it totally yours.
