Featured Bridal and Portrait Mehndi Designs
I am Prachi, and this collection captures the stories, fine-line portraits, and intricate patterns I have poured my heart into over the last 7 years in Mumbai.
This is what full bridal mehndi is all about: telling a story. I created custom bride and groom figures on the palms, surrounded by intricate patterns and rows of elephants, to capture the essence of their wedding day.
Yes, I can even include your furry family members! This video shows the process of creating a custom dog portrait for a bride, from the initial sketch to the final, beautiful result on her hands.
Bridal mehndi isn't just for hands. I love adorning feet with designs like this, featuring delicate architectural domes and floral patterns, beautifully framed with scattered rose petals for the perfect shot.
Here is a close-up look at my process. You can see the steady hand and precision required to create fine lines, checks, and intricate fills that make each bridal mehndi design special.
I love blending styles to create something unique. This Indo-Western design combines traditional check-patterns with bold, modern floral bands for a bride who wanted a contemporary yet intricate look.
The final stain is the most important part! I use only natural henna, and with the right aftercare, we can achieve this gorgeous, deep reddish-brown color that makes the design truly pop.
It's always fun to create designs for the bridal party. This is a full, detailed design I did for the bride's sister, coordinating with the wedding's theme while having its own unique flair.
About this collection
Getting a deep, rich stain is just as important as the design itself. I use only natural, triple-sifted henna that I mix myself 24 to 48 hours before your function. This is why you get that deep, long-lasting colour that really pops in your wedding photos. When you book me, you aren't just getting a drawing; you are getting a custom design with the right aftercare advice to ensure that colour stays dark for days.
What you see in this gallery is the result of 7 years of constantly refining my henna flow. My style is a mix of three things: precision, storytelling, and comfort.
My Design Philosophy
I believe your hands should tell a story. Whether it is a traditional baraat scene or a modern portrait, my goal is to make it personal.
- Portrait Work: Whether it is the bride and groom or your pet, I use a fine 0.38mm tip to capture the likeness. It takes time, but seeing the smile on a bride's face when she recognizes her dog's face on her palm makes it worth it.
- Indo-Western Styles: For the bride who wants something lighter but detailed, I love combining negative space with bold floral belts. It is perfect if you want to balance your outfit with your mehndi.
- Classic Traditional: I still believe in the magic of classic peacocks, mandalas, and jharokha patterns. These are timeless for a reason.
Practical Details for Your Booking
- Timing: Simple engagement designs take about 2.5 hours, while full bridal storytelling packages can take 6 to 8 hours. I plan this around your other functions so you aren't rushed.
- Travel: Based in Mumbai, but I am passport-ready and happy to travel for destination weddings across India.
- The Process: We usually have a pre-booking chat. You can share your mood board, and I can suggest how to weave your love story or specific elements into the design.
If you have a design from Pinterest or a specific dream in your head, let's talk. I am always ready to try something new.
