About Behind The Scenes
The key to those peaceful newborn shots isn't the camera; it is the pacing. I limit my schedule to just a few sessions a week, which means when you are in the studio, there is no rushing. Whether it is a feed, a diaper change, or just a moment of fussiness, we pause so your baby stays settled and the posing stays safe.
How We Manage the Shoot
Photography is often portrayed as quick, but with newborns, the speed is dictated entirely by the baby. When you come into my Sector 110 studio in Gurgaon, the environment is kept warm and quiet. My process involves setting up multiple distinct spots—like floral nests or bean bags—before the baby even arrives.
Safety and Handling
Newborn safety is the foundation of my work. The props you see in my gallery, like the hanging slings or buckets, are always weighted for stability. I never force a pose. If a baby isn't comfortable in a specific position, we move on. My priority is getting the image without putting the infant under any physical stress.
The Parent Experience
Parents often feel awkward in front of the lens. My role isn't just about clicking buttons; it is about guiding you. I’ll tell you where to look, how to hold your little one, and when to just relax and interact naturally. Many of the most successful shots come from those candid moments where I am interacting with the baby to get a smile, or simply waiting for them to settle into their sleep.
Why the Studio Setting Matters
Home shoots are convenient, but the studio allows for a controlled environment. I have immediate access to all my sanitation supplies, backdrops, and lighting setups. It removes the variables of home lighting or clutter, ensuring the final output is clean and consistent. If you are worried about the logistics of bringing a newborn out, know that the studio is designed specifically to accommodate the downtime needed for nursing and soothing.
Meghna Rathore Photography
Hi, I'm Meghna. My studio isn't just a place for photos; it’s a space where I control the temperature, light, and noise so I can focus entirely on your baby’s safety. I keep my sessions small because I refuse to rush a baby just to fit in more work.
