People ask why I train on holiday. It’s simple: it’s how I see the world and learn new tricks. Here’s a peek into my gym tours across London, San Francisco, and beyond, plus how I stay on track while traveling.

People always ask why I train on holiday. It's because I love discovering new workouts and learning from other coaches. This video shows my experience trying different classes in London, from a tough Lagree workout to group personal training. It's my favorite way to explore a new city.

This is my kind of tourism: a gym tour of London. I checked out everything from a fancy Fitness First with a pool to the famously intense Barry's Bootcamp. It was an amazing way to experience the city's fitness scene and get some killer workouts in.

I had the chance to train at Fitpod in JP Nagar, India's first co-working space for fitness professionals. It's an awesome concept for freelance trainers, with great equipment and tons of natural light. It's so cool to see the fitness community growing with innovative spaces like this.

How cool is this? I got to train at a Crunch Fitness in San Francisco that's located inside an old movie theatre. They were even playing a movie on a big screen while we worked out. It was such a unique and fun gym experience.

I made a pilgrimage to San Diego to train at Glute Lab, the home of the hip thrust, with the man himself, Bret Contreras. It was a surreal experience to learn from the person who has so heavily influenced my programming. We tweaked my form on RDLs and step-ups, and it was an incredible session.

Bucket list item checked. I trained at Gold's Gym in Venice, California, the Mecca of Bodybuilding. It was super intimidating at first, but an iconic experience to work out in such a legendary place with so much history.

This is my idea of a perfect vacation: a tough workout in the morning followed by relaxing and enjoying good food. For me, staying active on holiday isn't a chore, it's part of the fun and helps me feel my best.

Here are my top tips for staying on routine while traveling, if you want to. I focus on staying hydrated, moving every day with walks or quick gym sessions, and enjoying local food in moderation. The most important thing is to enjoy your life and your holiday.

About Training on the Go: Gyms Around the World

Don't treat travel training like a rigid, soul-crushing chore. I prefer visiting a local gym for a drop-in class early in my trip. It breaks the ice, you get a solid endorphin hit, and you can enjoy that extra local meal guilt-free for the rest of your vacation.
