1 Day Self Draping Workshop

Workshop Scope

Duration: 8 hour intensive session (10:00 AM to 6:00 PM).
Format: Group class (10 to 15 students) with live demonstrations and guided practice.
Styles: Covers Classic Nivi drape and basic Maharashtrian touch.
Ironing Method: Teaching the use of steam or dry iron to set pleats perfectly before wearing.

Why I Teach Saree Draping

I’m Meenakshi, and if you ask me, a saree brings out real style, but only if it’s draped right. I started teaching this masterclass because I saw too many people hassling over pleats or waiting for someone else to help. I want you to have that 'svata'ālā vēḷ' (time for yourself) at every wedding, puja, or party - not just stand around with pins and safety clips.

I show you my biggest hack: the pre-pleated saree technique. You’ll learn how to pleat and iron your saree ahead of time, so you’re never in a rush.
I’ll walk you through box folding - a simple way to store your prepped saree that keeps it neat and ready.
We measure for that custom fit. I teach you how to check and adjust, so your saree looks made for you.
You’ll watch me drape live on a model, step by step. No hiding the tricky bits!

My Story

Namaskar! Meenakshi Kambli here, Bombæ chi mulgi (girl from Mumbai). Makeup is my worship, not just a job.
