Durable PUF Sheet Roofing for Bangalore Homes
We build heat-resistant terrace sheds using quality PUF insulated panels mounted on heavy-duty, rust-proofed mild steel frames.
This shows my team at work installing a PUF sheet roof in RT Nagar. We cut and fit each panel precisely on the pre-built MS frame to ensure there are no gaps or leaks.
Before any frame is erected, I make sure the raw material is properly prepared. Here, my team is applying a coat of rust-proof paint to the mild steel bars that will form the foundation of a durable PUF sheet roof.
This project shows a heavy-duty MS structure being installed on a residential building. This frame is designed to support a PUF sheet roof, providing the family with a long-lasting, weather-protected space on their terrace.
About PUF Sheet Roofing
Most people just look at the sheet quality, but the real work happens in the frame. We use 14 to 16 gauge mild steel and apply a red oxide primer followed by an enamel top coat before any sheet touches it, because otherwise, rust eats the structure from the inside out within two years.
When you choose PUF sheet roofing, you are looking for two things: thermal insulation and structural longevity. In Bangalore, where the heat can be intense and the rains unpredictable, both are equally important. We do not do quick fixes or jugad.
Our Building Process
Every project starts with a site visit to assess the load. We fabricate the frame on-site, using hollow mild steel pipes specifically chosen for their gauge (14 to 16) to ensure the structure can handle high winds without bending or shaking. The welding is done with heavy-duty arc techniques to distribute weight evenly across the support columns.
Why PUF Sheets
The panels we use are essentially a sandwich—two metal sheets with a dense foam layer in the middle. This provides excellent thermal insulation, keeping your terrace shed or rooftop room significantly cooler than a standard metal roof. We use industrial-grade J-hooks and self-drilling screws for fixing, and finish the job with high-quality silicone sealant to ensure no water leakage at the joints.
Maintenance and Rust Protection
The biggest enemy of a metal roof in our climate is rust. We treat all steel components with a manual application of red oxide primer and enamel paint. This is labour-intensive, but it is the only way to prevent corrosion over the long term. Our goal is to hand over a roof that you won't have to worry about for years. If you are looking for a solid shed that actually keeps your space cool, we are ready to take a look at your site.
