Custom Handmade Furniture Workshop in Mumbai
We craft furniture in our Mumbai studio using traditional joinery and seasoned wood. From raw timber slabs to the final polished piece, see how we build items designed to last for decades.

About The Artisan's Workshop: From Wood to Wonder
We use traditional mortise and tenon joinery instead of exterior screws, which is why our frames do not wobble or loosen over time. When you ask for a custom piece, we send you updates from the workshop floor, so you see the grain and the shape take form before the polish is even applied.
Choosing the right wood is the first step in our workshop. Whether it is premium CP teak or reclaimed hardwood, we select every slab based on its grain structure and natural character. This is not just about sourcing materials; it is about understanding how the wood will behave in your home's climate.
Once the timber is selected, our team shapes the components by hand. You will notice in our process shots that we avoid shortcuts. We rely on traditional techniques like mortise and tenon joinery, creating durable connections that hold up under daily use without relying on visible metal screws. This method requires more time, but it ensures that a chair or table built today remains sturdy for years.
The final stage is the finish. Whether you prefer a natural oil look that highlights the grain or a durable PU coating to protect against daily wear, we apply it layer by layer in our Oshiwara studio. Because we manage every step of production locally, we can accommodate specific requests for your furniture, from custom dimensions to unique stain colors. If you have an idea or a sketch, share it with us. We translate your vision into a physical, functional piece.
