My Journey as a Mehendi Artist
From a home-based setup to the first dedicated mehendi studio in Vasai West, this is the story of my decade-long grind in the mehendi industry.
A very special announcement about the opening of my first mehendi studio and academy in Vasai West. This was a dream come true, and I am so grateful for all the support.
People used to say you can't grow a business from home. Meanwhile, I am shipping my organic henna products to places like Lucknow, Assam, and Jaipur, all across the country.
About My Journey as an Artist
I often get asked how I scaled from a kitchen table to a full-fledged academy. Honestly, it was not overnight. It was years of testing henna powder, dealing with inconsistent batches, and long nights perfecting my craft. My studio in Vasai is not just a place for appointments; it is where I now test and pack every organic cone I ship across India, ensuring you get the same quality I use on my own brides.
People used to say you cannot grow a serious business from home. I had my doubts too, especially when I was fighting through heavy monsoon rains to reach a bride or waiting for shipments to arrive. But I realized that if I wanted to control the quality of the stain—the color, the safety, the texture—I had to stop relying on store-bought cones and start making my own.
The Shift to Professionalism
Opening the studio in Vasai West was the biggest milestone. It allowed me to move my academy into a physical space where I can teach students face-to-face, moving beyond just online tutorials. Whether it is a government-certified mehendi course or simply rolling fresh cones for a client in Lucknow or Assam, the standard remains the same: organic, chemical-free, and dark-staining henna.
Why I Focus on Teaching
I believe in the 'sabse pehle aap' approach. I teach beginners because I know the frustration of having a cone clog or a design go wrong. I share the exact tools I use, from specific essential oil blends to my own straining techniques. This isn't just about me painting hands; it is about building a community of artists who understand the science behind the stain.
