Hand-Drawn Caricature Sketches & Practice Doodles
Welcome to my sketchbook! Here is where I play with new expressions, test out different styles, and just draw for the love of it. These are my daily experiments and fun doodles.
Who remembers this cartoon? A fun drawing of Fred Flintstone. Guess the name in the comments.
How was that? A rapid pencil sketch with a more detailed and realistic style.
Can you guess the actor? A caricature showing two very different expressions from a famous movie star.
A tutorial on how to draw a funny caricature. This character has a very unique and comical look.
This character does not exist, it's just from my imagination. I enjoy creating new faces and expressions.
A caricature of the day, drawn with a blue pencil for a different effect.
Another blue pencil sketch. I like to experiment with different tools and colors.
A collage of many different caricatures I've drawn. It shows the wide range of faces and styles I can create.
Is this a girl or a boy? A fun, androgynous caricature to make you look twice.
How to draw a funny face. This caricature of a man with a huge mustache is a great example.
About From My Sketchbook
You will notice a mix of styles here, from quick pencil studies to bold marker lines. I do not just draw from photos; I spend hours doodling random faces and characters to keep my hand steady and my creativity flowing. If you see a style here that catches your eye, let me know, and I can create something similar just for you.
Why I Sketch Every Day
Drawing is like breathing for me. Whether I am at a family event, hanging out with friends, or just sitting at my desk, I always have my sketchbook. This page shows my personal lab, the place where I try new proportions, experiment with exaggerated features, and test how far I can push a funny face before it looks wild.
More Than Just Practice
While this is where I practice, every sketch here is a piece of my journey. You will find:
- Quick Studies: Rapid sketches where I capture an expression in seconds.
- Character Designs: Faces born from my imagination, not based on anyone real.
- Style Experiments: Mixing blue pencil outlines with heavy marker detailing.
Everything you see here is 100% hand-drawn on paper. I believe there is a specific energy in ink on paper that you just cannot replicate digitally. When I am not doing live events or custom commissions for weddings, I am right here, turning a blank page into a character with a big nose, funny glasses, or a wild mustache.
If you want to commission a piece, looking through these sketches is a great way to understand my range. Do you like the bold black marker look, or the softer pencil shading? Let us chat about what you need.
