Hi, I'm Nidhi, the co-founder of Maniraj Solitaire. My passion is creating jewellery that tells your story. I'm here to help you find or create the perfect piece, so feel free to reach out with any questions.
This is where it all began. I remember being 16 and sketching a design for one of my mom's clients. They loved it, and I earned my first 300 rupees. That moment sparked my passion for designing jewellery that makes people happy.
I often get asked why my mom decided to hand over the business to me. From a young age, she saw my passion for design and my knack for the technical side of jewellery making. I'm so grateful for her trust and support.
A conversation with my mom about how the jewellery industry has changed. We discuss how Polki, once seen as very traditional, is now being designed in versatile, modern ways that appeal to a new generation. It's all about making tradition relevant for today.

Before we pick up a tool, we start with a conversation. Whether you bring an old piece of jewelry to melt down or a rough sketch of your dream ring, my process is all about your input. You are involved in every design tweak, diamond selection, and final polish to ensure the result is exactly what you imagined.
My process is built on transparency, not just design. Here is how we work:
1. The Design Consultation
Everything begins with a chat. If you have a specific idea or an old heirloom, we start there. I sketch out the concepts, and we work together to refine the proportions and stone placements until you are 100% happy. This collaborative step prevents the 'that's not what I ordered' stress common in custom jewelry.
2. Sourcing and Fabrication
For our Polki and Jadau pieces, I work directly with master artisans in Jaipur who specialize in traditional gold foil work. For modern diamond pieces, we focus on precision. I source conflict-free diamonds and ensure every metal casting uses high-quality, BIS-hallmarked gold. We prioritize structural integrity so your piece doesn't just look good, but lasts for years.
3. The 'No-Surprise' Pricing
Transparency is my non-negotiable rule. When we finalize a design, I provide a clear cost breakup. You will see exactly what you are paying for: the gold weight, diamond caratage, and the labor charges. No hidden costs, no vague 'making charges' that inflate your bill unexpectedly.
4. Heirloom Redesign
Many clients come to me with jewelry they no longer wear. We don't just put it aside. We perform a purity test using an XRF machine, melt the gold down (you can even watch, if you like), and re-alloy it to create a brand new, modern design. It keeps the sentiment alive while giving you a piece you will actually wear every day.
