Makeup that respects the intricate details of your couture. I design looks that complement rich textiles, elaborate embroidery, and festive mood boards for campaigns across Mumbai.

An elegant group shot for designer Krisha Sunny Ramani. I created complementary makeup looks that enhance the models' features while harmonizing with the deep blue tones of their embroidered couture outfits.

For this Krisha Sunny Ramani campaign, I designed makeup looks that balance the vibrant purple and green outfits. The makeup is polished and refined, with a focus on clean skin and subtly defined eyes.

A beautiful shot showcasing two distinct yet harmonious makeup looks for a festive wear campaign. I used soft glam techniques to complement the bright pink and deep green ensembles by Krisha Sunny Ramani.

A close-up of a creative makeup look for Krisha Sunny Ramani, featuring delicate crystal embellishments under the eyes. This detail adds a touch of modern glamour to the traditional festive attire.

A striking portrait from the Akashi Clothing campaign. The makeup features a bold, smoky eye that adds intensity and drama, perfectly complementing the modern silhouette of the organza top.

A moody and artistic shot for the Nayantaara campaign. The makeup is warm and bronzed, with a traditional headpiece, creating a regal and timeless look that fits the dramatic lighting.

For this Shopverb campaign, I created fresh and vibrant makeup looks that pair beautifully with the colorful, printed lehengas. The makeup enhances the models' natural beauty while complementing the bohemian-inspired ethnic wear.

An artistic makeup look for Three Three Store, featuring a bold wash of red blush. This editorial approach to makeup adds a high-fashion element to the traditional yellow lehenga.

A minimalist and elegant makeup look for the brand Belle Robe. Featuring a simple bindi and natural-looking skin, this look is designed to complement the serene and classic aesthetic of the white kaftan.

This behind-the-scenes video from the Krisha Sunny Ramani campaign shows the glamorous makeup in motion. I created looks that were both beautiful on camera and wearable, perfect for a luxury festive collection.

About Indian Couture & Festive Wear

When shooting couture, the makeup must support the garment, not compete with it. I balance bold artistic choices with refined, skin-first prep to ensure that heavy embroidery or complex drapes remain the focal point, while the face stays fresh and photogenic under studio lights.

My approach to Indian couture campaigns is grounded in a deep understanding of textile palettes and lighting requirements. Whether the collection calls for a traditional, regal aesthetic or a modern, edgy silhouette, I ensure the makeup enhances the visual narrative without distracting from the clothing.

Technical Approach

  • Color Harmony: I analyze the color story of the designer's collection—from deep blues and purples to vibrant festive hues—to create makeup looks that provide balance rather than conflict.
  • Texture Management: For intricate embroidery and heavy zari work, I focus on clean skin and precise definition. This ensures the model's features are highlighted even against highly detailed, busy garments.
  • Studio Performance: I prioritize products that withstand studio heat and flash photography. This includes specific skin preparation techniques that prevent shine on camera while maintaining a natural, high-fashion finish.

Collaboration on Set

I view my role as a bridge between the styling team and the final image. I am accustomed to working in fast-paced production environments, including coordinating with stylists, photographers, and art directors in Mumbai to ensure the makeup remains consistent across 30-40 outfit changes. I am equally comfortable executing bold, avant-garde looks for editorial features or understated, polished looks for e-commerce catalogues. If your shoot requires a specific mood, I am happy to align with your creative direction to bring that vision to life.
