About Reception & Party Glam
The biggest concern I hear about reception makeup is that it feels heavy under bright event lighting. I use a specific layering technique that keeps your foundation breathable while ensuring the base stays put for 18 hours, even if you are dancing all night. You will not feel like you are wearing a mask, and your skin will still look like skin in the photos.
Many of my clients come to me after a bad experience with heavy, cakey makeup at previous events. For a reception or sangeet, the lighting is often complex. You have stage lights, spotlights, and ambient decor lights. My approach is to work with these variables, not against them.
I focus on skin prep first. If your skin is hydrated, the makeup sits beautifully. For reception looks, I love playing with soft glam elements like a defined eye or a bold berry lip without letting the rest of the face get lost under layers of product.
