About Fashion & Commercial Work
Studio lights are harsh and will reveal every flaw if the base isn't set perfectly. My process for these shoots involves light-reflective skin preparation that keeps the glow natural without appearing oily on camera, ensuring the final images do not require heavy retouching in post-production.
In a professional shoot, makeup serves a different purpose than it does at a wedding. It needs to tell a story. Whether it is a jewelry campaign where the skin needs to be clean and neutral to let the gold stand out, or an edgy fashion editorial requiring bold textures, I tailor the products specifically to the lighting conditions.
I work with high-performance brands like NARS, Huda Beauty, and Dior to create finishes that breathe under hot studio lamps. For commercial assignments, I often coordinate with photographers and creative directors to ensure the lip tones, highlight placement, and eye contours translate accurately through the lens.
It is not just about the face. For editorial work, I pay close attention to the neck, shoulders, and décolletage, especially with off-shoulder or metallic couture outfits. I also bring my own kit for touch-ups between takes to maintain consistency throughout the day.
