About this collection
These workshops treat jewelry design as an exercise in micro-engineering. It is not just about aesthetics; kids learn how to balance structural integrity with visual style, ensuring that the bricks they connect can handle the wear and tear of a keychain or necklace. By the end of the 5-day camp, your child takes home five distinct pieces—earrings, rings, keychains, brooches, and necklaces—that they designed and built from scratch.
Beyond Toy Building: The Art of Design
At MakersLoft, we see every brick as a tool for problem-solving. While our robotics and coding camps focus on logic and mechanics, this jewelry design series pivots to artistic construction and spatial awareness. Designed for children aged 6 to 13, this program helps kids step away from screens and engage in tactile, precise building.
What Kids Actually Learn
Rather than simply following an instruction manual, participants are encouraged to experiment with patterns, colors, and connection points. We focus on three core areas:

The 'Make and Take' Guarantee
This is a 5-day intensive program where the output is tangible. Unlike our standard robotics sessions where models are dismantled at the end of class, this camp is a 'Make and Take' series. Your child will complete five distinct, personalized projects over the week:
- Custom Keychains: Utilizing charms and structural brick bases.
- Brick Earrings: Learning the precision required for small-scale assembly.
- Custom Rings: Exploring proportions to create comfortable, wearable jewelry.
- Designer Brooches: Combining different textures and patterns.
- Statement Necklaces: Creating complex, multi-layered wearable art.
We maintain small batch sizes—typically a 1:5 to 1:8 teacher-student ratio—to ensure every budding designer receives individual guidance.
