About Flawless Makeup for Every Skin Tone
For dusky skin, the magic isn't in the foundation but in the color correction I do before it. I focus on canceling out pigmentation around the eyes and mouth so your base stays sheer, long-lasting, and vibrant. This way, your skin breathes and looks naturally glowing in photos rather than looking grey or cakey under flash.
Creating a flawless look on deeper skin tones is all about understanding undertones. Whether you have warm, golden, or neutral undertones, the key is using premium products like MAC, Huda Beauty, or PAC that don't ash out.
My approach to HD makeup is built for Indian weather and long ceremonies.
Why HD Makeup Matters
Indian weddings involve rituals, fire, and a lot of movement. My HD technique creates a sweat-proof barrier that keeps your makeup fresh from the first ceremony to the last dance. I don't believe in masking your face with thick layers. Instead, I use technique-heavy applications that emphasize your natural features—bold eyes or a classic lip—while keeping the skin texture looking like skin.
My Process
- Skin Prep: Every look starts with deep hydration and, if needed, correcting uneven pigmentation. This is the foundation of a 'lit-from-within' glow.
- Color Matching: I don't rely on one shade. I mix foundations to match your exact skin tone, ensuring no patchiness.
- Feature Highlighting: For dusky skin, I love using golden, bronze, and copper tones that catch the light beautifully, especially during outdoor or evening events in Mumbai.
