About Celebrating Every Skin Tone & Type
If you are worried about makeup looking grey on dusky skin or settling into fine lines, let us talk technique. My approach is to prep the skin first with targeted serums to manage texture, then move to precise color correction before any foundation touches your face. This ensures your makeup stays flawless for over 12 hours without looking heavy, cakey, or unnatural in your photos.
Understanding Your Skin
Many clients come to me after a bad experience elsewhere, worried that their makeup will look 'ashy' or that their texture will be highlighted rather than smoothed. My studio in Ambernath is built on the belief that makeup should enhance your features, not mask them. Whether you have oily, dry, textured, or mature skin, I use different foundation formulations—from Kryolan to Huda Beauty—to ensure the base sits comfortably.
The Process Matters
When I work with dusky or pigmented skin, I prioritize color correction. I don't just slap on a foundation shade; I color correct to neutralize uneven tones so the final finish looks even and radiant. For mature skin or skin with acne, my focus is on hydration. I use products like Cetaphil and specific primers that create a smooth barrier, so the makeup doesn't settle into fine lines or pores.
Why My Approach Works:
- Real Skin, Real Texture: I don't believe in heavy filters. I focus on techniques that show real skin texture because that is what makes you look like yourself in person.
- Long-Lasting Durability: Using setting sprays from brands like Recode and Faces Canada, I lock in your look so it survives the heat, the humidity, and the tears of a wedding day.
- Customization: Every face has a different story. I adjust my technique based on whether you want a soft glam look or a traditional bridal aesthetic, ensuring the final result complements your specific undertones.
