About Radiant Baby Shower Looks (Sreemantham)
The biggest concern I hear from moms-to-be is the comfort of the floral braid (poola jada) and the weight of the temple jewelry. When I prep you, I don't just use standard pins. I use specific threading techniques to distribute the weight of the fresh flowers so it does not pull on your scalp, meaning you will feel secure rather than strained for the entire duration of your function.

I know that a Sreemantham involves long hours of sitting, often near the heat of the Homam (fire ritual). My makeup technique is specifically calibrated for this. Comfort is my priority when it comes to your outfit. I specialize in professional pleating and pinning of heavy Kanjeevaram sarees to sit comfortably over your baby bump. I ensure the pallu is secure and the folds are structured so you can move easily and stand for photos without constant adjusting.
The Poola Jada process
A classic floral braid is heavy, and it takes experience to pin it right. I carry my own hair padding, invisible hairnets, and the necessary threads to build a foundation that supports the flowers. Whether you prefer a traditional malli (jasmine) look or want to incorporate roses to match your saree, I arrange everything to look voluminous from the back and side, ensuring it stays in place until you decide to take it off.
