Professional Makeup Artistry & Styling Techniques
I believe the best makeup artistry comes from constant learning. Here is a look at the techniques, tools, and professional standards I use to make you feel like your best self.
To ensure I'm always offering the latest and most effective techniques, I invest in my education. This video shows me receiving my certificate at a makeup masterclass with an internationally recognized artist.
A behind-the-scenes moment during an engagement makeup session. Here, I am applying blush to add a healthy flush of color, one of the final touches to create a radiant and picture-perfect look.
The final touch. In this photo, I am carefully applying lipstick for a client's reception look. A precise lip line is essential for a polished and long-lasting finish.
An action shot showing how I work. Using professional brushes and lighting, I am contouring the nose to add definition and ensure the makeup looks flawless from every angle and in all photos.
About My Process & Passion for Learning
You will notice that I do not just apply makeup; I structure it to last. Whether it is color correction for uneven skin tones or using heavy-duty setting sprays to keep your look fresh through hours of traditional rituals, my process is designed to handle Bangalore’s climate and long event days. I am constantly updating my toolkit with techniques from international masterclasses, so your final look is clean, balanced, and precisely suited to your skin.
Why technique matters
Makeup is more than just products; it is about how those products interact with your skin, the venue lighting, and the environment.
Base Preparation For me, the base is everything. Before any foundation touches your skin, I focus on proper prep. This includes pore-filling primers and color correction to address pigmentation. This step ensures that the foundation sits smoothly and does not crease, even if you are under hot stage lights or outdoors during a ceremony.
Staying Power South Indian weddings often involve long hours and humid weather. I use professional setting sprays, such as Urban Decay or PAC, to lock your makeup in place. For events like Sreemantham or muhurthams, where you might be near homam fire or bright studio lighting, I prioritize sweat-resistant, heat-proof techniques that maintain a natural, non-cakey finish.
Continuous Learning I do not rely on trends alone. I actively invest in training, such as the Kennedy Hoffmann masterclass, to refine my technical skills. Whether it is contouring techniques for different face shapes or understanding how specific brushes impact the blend of an eyeshadow, I aim to provide a service that is grounded in professional expertise.
When you book with me, you are getting a process that prioritizes your comfort, the longevity of your look, and a style that feels authentically yours.
