About Custom Designs & Personalized Names
When I work, I do not use moulds or readymade templates. Whether it is a house name board or a character mural, I sketch the outline directly on your wall and carve the wet cement by hand. You need to provide the raw cement, sand, and water, and I bring the skill and the tools to layer it, ensuring the final piece is structural and permanent, not just a surface sticker.
From a Sketch to a Solid Wall
I believe that true art is built, not just painted. My process for custom murals and name plates starts with a conversation. We discuss your idea—be it a family name in Tamil or English, or a specific character for a child's room. I then sketch directly on the wall. This allows the design to flow with the natural lines and architecture of your home.
Once the sketch is set, I mix the cement and start layering. For name plates, I focus on typography, using water levels to ensure perfect alignment. For murals, I build up the depth, carving textures and details while the mix is wet.
Why Hand-Carved Matters
- Permanence: Since I carve directly into the structure, these designs do not peel off like plastic boards. They become a part of your wall.
- True Customization: There are no fixed sizes. If your wall space is small or uniquely shaped, I adapt the design to fit.
- Authenticity: No two pieces are identical. Every stroke of my tool reflects the moment of creation.
What You Need to Know Before We Start
To keep my pricing transparent, here are the practicalities:
- Materials: I provide the craft; you provide the base materials like cement, river sand, and water.
- Access: High walls require sturdy scaffolding, which must be arranged at the site.
- Curing: Since this is cement work, your wall needs proper water curing for at least 7 days after I finish to ensure it reaches full strength.
- Travel: I travel across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. If your site is outside my immediate area, please account for accommodation in your planning.
