My Exhibitions & Media Features
Stepping out of my studio and into galleries like Lokayata and Artizen has been a surreal journey. Here are some of the moments where my work found its voice in public spaces.
Seeing my name and work featured in the Sunday Pioneer for the 'Winter Vibes' exhibition was a dream come true. It was my very first art exhibition, and this will always be close to my heart.
Another proud moment was being featured in Dainik Bhaskar for the exhibition at Lokayata Art Gallery in Hauz Khas Village. It’s amazing to see local media supporting artists and sharing our work with a wider audience.
The Punjab Kesari newspaper also covered the 'Winter Vibes' exhibition. Moments like these are a result of a lot of hard work and make the entire journey feel so rewarding.
Here I am at the Lokayata Art Gallery, surrounded by my work and fellow art lovers. The energy and conversations at these events are what fuel my passion to create more.
Standing next to my paintings at my first exhibition. On the right is the "Koi Fish & Paper Boat" piece, and on the left is another surreal animal portrait. It was an amazing experience to sell my artworks here.
This is me at my booth at 'The Haat of Art'. It was a lifetime experience meeting other incredible artists and seeing people of all ages light up over my work, especially the handcrafted magnets and bookmarks.
A happy moment interacting with a visitor at my stall. Connecting with people who appreciate my art and hearing their thoughts is one of the best parts of being an artist.
Sharing a moment with a visitor at the Lokayata Art Gallery in front of my "Koi Fish" painting. Every exhibition is a great experience, connecting with new people and fellow artists.
I love watching people connect with my art. This visitor is looking closely at my surrealist painting "Vo Shaam" at 'The Haat of Art'. Seeing my work resonate with others is the real win for me.
A quick reel from Day 1 of my exhibition with Merakii Art House at Artizen Art Gallery. From getting ready to the inauguration ceremony and art conversations, the excitement was real!
About In the Spotlight: Exhibitions & Media
When I started showing my work, I honestly didn't know if anyone would connect with my surrealist themes. But watching people at Lokayata Art Gallery stand in front of 'Vo Shaam' or chat about the 'Koi Fish' piece was eye-opening. These exhibition days are not just about sales, they are about that one conversation where someone tells me, 'I felt this,' which makes all the long nights in my studio worth it.
Exhibiting at spaces like the Lokayata Art Gallery and participating in community events like 'The Haat of Art' has changed how I view my own creations. It is one thing to paint in the solitude of my room, but seeing a stranger stop and look closer at a canvas gives me a different kind of rush. It validates the 'messy bits' I pour into every brushstroke.
Behind the Media Coverage
I have been fortunate to see my work featured in publications like the Sunday Pioneer, Dainik Bhaskar, and Punjab Kesari. Each time a local newspaper talks about an exhibition, it is a reminder that art has the power to reach people I have never even met. For the 'Winter Vibes' show, the support was overwhelming. Seeing my name alongside other talented artists in print felt like a huge milestone, especially for someone who started from scratch.
Why I Love Exhibitions
People often ask if I get nervous at these events. Truth is, I do, but the energy of the crowd settles it. Whether it is a large-scale exhibition at a gallery or a lively pop-up stall, I get to see kids and adults light up over my handcrafted bookmarks or mini fridge magnets. It connects me back to the reality that art doesn't have to be intimidating, it just needs to be felt. If you ever see me at a stall, please come by and say hello. I love hearing stories about what a painting makes you think of, or just chatting about the process behind those layers of oil paint.
Shruti Sinha
I'm Shruti. For me, painting is meditation, and seeing my work outside my studio, at galleries like Lokayata or events like 'The Haat of Art', is just surreal. I love the chaos and the quiet of exhibitions because it's where my art finally finds its home.
