About Royal Sherwanis for the Groom

When you choose a sherwani here, you are not just picking fabric off a rack. We start with a skeleton trial—a rough stitch of your garment—to ensure the shoulders sit perfectly and the length is just right before we touch the final fabric. This fitting process is how we guarantee your wedding outfit moves with you, not against you.

Our approach to groomswear is rooted in our Narela store's history since 1985. We treat a sherwani as a piece of engineering as much as a piece of art. For our heavy wedding ensembles, we prioritize internal structure—using heavy fusing and buckram in the chest and shoulders—to ensure a sharp, royal silhouette that doesn't sag after hours of wear.

The Custom Journey

We work primarily with Raw Silk and Matka Silk blends, which offer a natural, rich texture suitable for traditional motifs. Our handwork process includes Zardosi wire and French knots, applied by skilled artisans who understand the balance between heavy festive detail and wearability.

Practical Comfort

We know a groom needs to move, dance, and participate in rituals. This is why our inner kurta sets are specifically cut to prevent bunching under the sherwani coat. Whether you select an ivory, sequin-heavy piece or a deep, traditional tone with a velvet stole, the construction remains consistent: full lining with breathable satin to keep you comfortable through long ceremonies.

Our Process

  1. Measurement & Fabric Selection: Choose from our wide range of imported and heritage fabrics.
  2. Skeleton Trial: We create a structural base to check fitting before we cut the final fabric.
  3. Final Finish: We adjust the hem, sleeves, and placket to your exact proportions.

Most full constructions require 10 to 15 days to account for these trials, so we recommend booking your consultation early.
