Capturing the Sitter Stage

The sitter phase—roughly 6 to 12 months—is one of my favorite stages to photograph. Your baby is developing a distinct personality, expressing clear opinions, and starting to interact with the world around them. Whether it is that 'chubby cheeks' phase or the budding curiosity of a crawler, I focus on capturing these real, authentic moments.

My Studio Process

My studio in JP Nagar is set up to be a relaxing, low-pressure space for parents. For these milestone sessions, we typically run for 45 to 60 minutes. This is the perfect amount of time to get through two distinct setups: one minimalist look (usually white or cream to keep the focus entirely on the baby's expressions) and one prop-based setup, using woven baskets, soft blankets, or wooden beds to add texture.

Practical Tips for Parents

• The Timing: Aim for the window when your baby can sit unsupported. If they are already on the move, that is perfectly fine—we just adapt and move with them.
• What to Bring: Snacks, a favorite toy, or a book are lifesavers. I have a full studio wardrobe of lace rompers and neutral dungarees, so you do not need to stress about finding the perfect outfit.
• Comfort First: These shoots are never rushed. If your little one needs a feed, a diaper change, or a quick cuddle, we stop. My priority is a happy baby, and the genuine smiles that come after a cuddle are always better than anything posed or forced.

At the end of our session, you will receive 10-12 fully retouched digital images delivered within 2-3 weeks, capturing these fleeting months exactly as they are.
