A Glimpse into Your Maternity Session
Ever wonder what really happens during a studio shoot? Here is a look at the process behind creating your timeless portraits, from choosing your outfit to mastering that perfect fabric toss.
Ever wonder how we get those beautiful flowing fabric shots? This video shows the before and after. It takes a bit of practice, but the final result is always so magical and worth it.
This video shows the process of creating a minimalist and timeless portrait. We work together to find the most flattering poses that highlight your beautiful bump against different backdrops.
This montage gives you a quick look at the variety of styles and setups we can explore during your session. My focus is always on making you feel comfortable and capturing your genuine glow.
About A Glimpse into Your Session
The magic in these photos doesn't happen by accident, it starts with a conversation. Before we step in front of the lens, we spend time talking about your comfort levels and the specific look you are dreaming of. During the session, I personally guide you through every pose, including the signature fabric toss, so you can stop worrying about how you look and just enjoy the experience of documenting your baby bump.
How we prepare for your session
I know that stepping into a studio can feel a little intimidating, especially when you are balancing the exhaustion and excitement of pregnancy. My goal is to make this the easiest, most relaxing part of your week.
1. The Styling Phase Before you even arrive at my J.P. Nagar studio, we will have already discussed your preferences. Whether you want the clean, minimalist look with solid backdrops or the warm, earthy boho vibe with pampas grass, everything will be set up and waiting for you. My client closet is fully stocked with maternity gowns, bodycon dresses, and sheer sarees, so you do not need to stress about what to wear.
2. Gentle Guidance When you see those beautiful, flowing fabric shots, know that they take a bit of practice, but I am right there with you. I provide full guidance on posing, fabric placement, and lighting. You do not need to be a model, and you do not need to know how to pose. I will direct your movements to ensure we highlight your glow while keeping you comfortable.
3. Pacing the Shoot My sessions are designed to be slow. We take breaks when you need them. If you are bringing your partner or a sibling, we incorporate them into the flow naturally, ensuring they feel like part of the story rather than just bystanders. By the end of the session, my hope is that you leave feeling not just photographed, but celebrated.
FAQs about your shoot
- Do I need to bring my own makeup? I recommend coming ready to go, but I am always here to help with hair touch-ups and minor adjustments during the shoot.
- What if my toddler is cranky? This is exactly why I keep my sessions flexible. We prioritize patience over everything else to get those natural smiles.
- How long until I see the photos? You will get access to a private, password-protected gallery where you can select your final images for retouching.
