About The Process: Behind the Scenes
Most people who walk into my studio have never been in front of a professional camera, and that is perfectly fine. In my sessions, we do not start with rigid posing charts. Instead, we spend the first fifteen minutes just chatting and settling into the space. I guide your movements gently, focusing on how you naturally hold each other rather than trying to force a stiff posture. My goal is for you to feel like yourself, not a statue.
The magic behind a successful shoot is not just a high-end camera—it is how comfortable you feel in front of one. Whether we are in my Jakkur studio or out at a golden-hour location across Bangalore, my focus remains the same: capturing the real, raw connection between parents and children.
The Creative Setup
I do not believe in one-size-fits-all backdrops. For studio sessions, we use a mix of classic solid colors and textured walls that keep the focus entirely on you. If you have chosen a creative setup like our boho-themed beds or floral frames, my process involves careful lighting adjustments to make sure the mood remains intimate and warm, rather than clinical.
The Flow of a Session
- Initial Comfort: We do not rush. The first portion of the shoot is about letting the camera shyness fade. I often use movement—walking, sitting, or just talking—to get natural expressions.
- Styling: I provide guidance on how to carry yourselves, but I leave room for your own personality to come through. If you are shy, we keep the lighting moody. If you are bold, we play with more vibrant setups.
- Technical Details: For outdoor shoots, I use a hybrid lighting technique, blending natural golden hour light with off-camera flash to ensure your subjects are crisp while the Bangalore sunset stays dreamy in the background.
What Happens Next
After the shutter clicks, the real work begins. I do not believe in heavy filters that hide your true self. My editing process is about refining the image—correcting color, smoothing skin, and enhancing the mood—to ensure that what you receive is a polished, timeless version of the real moment we captured together.
