Behind the Scenes at Liger Art Academy
Step inside our Kalkaji studio where ideas take shape. Whether it is a student learning to sketch or a team crafting a large-scale mural, we focus on hands-on creation and practical art skills.
Here, young artists are getting hands-on experience painting a large floral mural. We believe in nurturing creativity at all ages, and this energy inspires the work we do for our clients.
About Our Workshop & Process
When you visit our studio, you are not just walking into a classroom; you are entering a workspace where real projects happen. We keep our batch sizes small so that whether your child is just starting with basic sketching or working on a larger mural concept, they get direct guidance on technique rather than just abstract theory. We provide all the materials needed for your session, so you only need to bring your curiosity and a willingness to get messy.
At Liger Art Academy, my goal is to strip away the intimidating rules of fine art and focus on authentic expression. Located in Kalkaji, our studio is designed to be a living, breathing workspace. We do not just teach the history of art; we spend our time with charcoal, acrylics, and clay, working directly on projects that transform the environment around us.
Our curriculum covers the full spectrum of creative development:
- Fundamental Sketching: We start here. Before you can paint, you need to understand lines, shadows, and proportion. This is the bedrock of all our work, from portraiture to character design.
- Painting & Mediums: From watercolors and oil pastels to large-scale acrylic murals, we teach how to handle different surfaces. You learn how paint behaves and how to layer colors for impact.
- 3D Sculpture & Texture: This is where we break away from 2D canvases. Students learn to build forms using POP and cement, a technical skill we apply directly to our professional 3D relief wall art projects.
What makes our process unique is that it is shared. You will often see professional commissions in progress alongside student work. For parents, this is a chance to see how basic drawing exercises evolve into complex mural work. We offer short-term courses for those looking to pick up a skill quickly and diploma programs for students aiming for a deeper practice. Whether you want your child to build confidence through art or you are interested in a commission for your home, the studio is open for you to see the work in progress.
