For me, Christmas baking starts long before December. It begins with the fruit-soaking ceremony—a tradition I absolutely love. I spend weeks prepping the finest dried fruits, spices, and peels, letting them soak until they are plump and infused with deep, festive flavor. This process is the secret to why my plum cakes taste like a real home-baked holiday treat.
