Art for Social Change: Community Murals & Public Art

About Art for Social Change
When I paint a mural for a community, I don't just start with a sketch. I spend time with the people, listening to their stories and understanding what their space actually needs to say. Whether I am working with the Mind & Matter Charitable Trust to raise mental health awareness in Coorg or highlighting road safety with Volvo, my work is about grounding art in the reality of the people it serves, not just making a wall look pretty.
My 'Travel & Paint India' tour is more than just travelling and painting walls. It is a way to give back and shine a light on local heroes and social causes. Hum apna rang bhar rahe hain (We are adding our own colour) to public spaces that are often overlooked. Every wall tells a story—be it about road safety, mental well-being, or preserving local culture.
How I Approach Community Art
I approach each collaboration by immersing myself in the local culture. I work closely with NGOs and local partners to ensure the mural acts as a visual extension of their mission. My process is technical yet intuitive:
- Site Analysis: I assess the surface, weather conditions, and foot traffic to determine the right scale and materials.
- Storytelling: The design is born from the community’s own experiences, ensuring the final piece resonates with the people who pass by it every day.
- Execution: From scaffolding safety to weather-proofing, I handle the execution so you can focus on the impact the art creates.
Partner With Me
I am always looking for new walls and new stories. If you represent an NGO, a local business, or a community initiative looking to revitalize a public space, let’s talk. I am here to help you turn a blank wall into a catalyst for change.
