Turn your artistic passion into a sustainable career. I am opening up my years of on-ground experience to teach you the technical and business sides of becoming a successful muralist.

I am turning my six years of on-the-ground experience into a learning ground for new muralists. If you are interested in learning the business of commercial art through hands-on experience, let's connect.

In this podcast, I explain how I balance my commercial mural work with my passion projects. Understanding this business side is a key part of what I plan to teach in my upcoming mural school.

About The Mural School: Learn With Me

Many people think mural painting is just about having a steady hand, but the real work happens before you even pick up a brush. We focus on the unglamorous side: calculating exactly how much paint you need for a massive surface, ensuring your design scales correctly without distorting on uneven plaster, and drafting contracts that protect your time and effort so you do not burn out.

When I left my job in 2018 to paint my first mural, I had to learn everything through trial and error. There was no manual for how to deal with stubborn local surfaces, how to negotiate a commercial contract, or how to keep a design looking clean when the wall itself is weathered.

What You Will Learn

My masterclass is not a gallery viewing; it is a workshop. We dive into the physical and business demands of the industry.

  • Technical Scaling & Prep: How to grid designs, use projectors on large surfaces, and prime walls so your art survives the weather. We use exterior emulsions and industrial brushes, not just standard craft supplies.
  • Commercial Strategy: This is where most artists get stuck. You will learn how to price your work based on square footage, complexity, and materials. We also cover drafting fair contracts and handling client expectations.
  • Execution: You will complete a live project. This means scaffolding safety, working with ladders, and managing the actual physical exertion of painting at scale.

Why This Approach?

Art is my oxygen, but it is also my profession. I want you to connect with your own creative energy, but I also want you to build a career that feeds you. Whether you want to pursue commercial projects, public art installations, or community-led social initiatives, you need to understand the logistics of being a muralist.

If you are ready to stop watching from the sidelines and want to learn how to turn a blank wall into a story, let's connect. I am looking for students who are serious about the craft and ready to put in the work.

I am Sneha. I believe art belongs on the streets as much as it belongs in a gallery. Through this school, I want to bridge the gap between being a hobbyist and a professional who can sustain themselves through their craft.
