About this collection

In these projects, I focus on the transition between the living and dining zones. Instead of generic partitions, I use elements like fluted glass or custom brass-finish screens that define the space without blocking light. It keeps the area feeling large while giving each zone its own identity.

Creating a grand living and dining space is about striking a balance. It needs to be sophisticated enough for guests but comfortable enough for your Sunday afternoons. My approach to these open-concept areas relies on material consistency and smart zoning.

My Design Approach

  • Material Palettes: I prefer mixing high-end Italian marble floors with warmer textures like suede or wooden paneling. This prevents the cold showroom look and keeps the home feeling warm.
  • Zoning without Walls: I use features like false ceiling drops, custom profile lighting, or architectural partitions to separate the dining area from the living room. This creates distinct zones while maintaining the flow of light and space.
  • Statement Pieces: Whether it is a 22-foot double-height curtain, an agate stone center table, or a custom media unit, I believe every room needs an anchor point that draws the eye.

Common Considerations

  • Furniture Scale: In a large space, standard furniture often looks lost. I adjust dimensions to ensure the sofa, dining table, and consoles fit the proportions of your specific floor plan.
  • Lighting Layers: We do not rely on just one chandelier. I design layered lighting using COB spots for focus, profile lights for mood, and statement pendants for the dining table to make the space functional at all hours.
  • The 'Time lagega' Reality: Quality finishes like PU polish or intricate PVD metal work require precision and time on-site. We do not rush these details because they are the difference between a good design and a finished home.

If you have a floor plan, let us look at how we can open it up. Whether it is a compact 3BHK in Noida or a duplex in South Delhi, the goal is to make the space feel tailored to how you actually live.
