About Dance Competition Judging
How I Judge Dance Competitions
When I’m on the judge’s seat, I’m looking for more than just clean steps. I want to see that spark - the real effort and that little bit of madness that makes your team stand out. I’m a choreographer first, so I see the big picture: technique, originality, and how you bring your own style to the stage.
What I Look For
- Technique and artistry set the base, but I’m not stopping there.
- Show me something I haven’t seen before - creativity and your personal touch matter.
- Stage presence is everything. If you can own the floor, you’ve got my attention.
- And yeah, passion is non-negotiable. I can spot it from a mile away.
Where I’ve Judged
I’ve been part of the judging panel at top college dance fests and school competitions in Namma Bengaluru (Our Bangalore). Places like Seshadripuram, St. Joseph’s, MS Ramaiah, and Nitte - the energy at these events is always sakkath (too good).
My Process
I keep it fair and structured. I use proper dance scoring criteria, make notes for every act, and don’t do any guesswork. It’s always about giving every team a real, honest stage performance evaluation.
Nim dance nodskodi (show me your dance) – I’m ready for what you bring.

My Story
Hey, I’m Luny. I grew up in Bangalore, proud Kannadiga and founder of Blaze The Groove Hub. People say I changed, but honestly, life changed me. My circle’s small but my dreams? Massive. Dance isn’t just my job, it’s my everything. Judging college fests at places like M.S. Ramaiah and St. Joseph’s, seeing fresh talent – that’s what keeps me fired up. I wear my culture with pride, but I let my work speak. Didn’t just dream, I hustled.
