Why Black and White

Color can sometimes dominate a portrait, drawing the eye to clothing or background elements rather than the subjects themselves. By removing color, these images strip away visual noise. The result is a focus on the curve of a baby's cheek, the way a parent holds their child, or the specific emotion in a gaze.

My Technical Approach

My studio in Sushant Lok, Gurgaon, is equipped to manage the specific lighting requirements for high-contrast monochrome photography. Unlike standard sessions, these shoots are calculated for shadow and depth. I manage the contrast ratios during the editing process to ensure skin tones appear soft, while eyes and details remain sharp.

Preparing for Your Session

• Attire: Avoid bright colors or busy prints. Simple whites, grays, or blacks work best to maintain the timeless aesthetic.
• Timing: We will schedule this based on your baby’s feeding and nap routine to ensure they are calm and cooperative.
• Safety: As with all my sessions, I use safe posing techniques. If the baby becomes fussy, we take breaks. Safety and comfort are never compromised for the sake of a pose.
