True candid photography is not about being fast. It is about being patient. When I work with newborns, the schedule is always baby-led. If your baby needs to feed or sleep, we stop. This relaxed pace is exactly how I catch a yawn, a subtle stretch, or the way their fingers curl while they sleep.

In my studio in Sushant Lok, I rely on natural, soft light to highlight skin texture and gentle expressions. I avoid harsh flashes that can disturb a sleeping infant. For these detail shots—like macro captures of eyelashes, tiny toes, or small hands—I use specialized lenses that bring the focus entirely onto the baby.

Parents often worry about the baby being fussy. My approach is to create a secure, temperature-controlled environment where you can hold and soothe your child while I shoot. Whether it is a sitter session where we are waiting for a genuine laugh or a newborn shoot focusing on quiet details, the goal remains the same: capturing who your baby is right now, not who they are when they are performing for a camera.

Because these moments happen in seconds, I keep my setups simple. We minimize props so the background does not distract from the main subject. This approach results in timeless portraits that focus on the interaction and the authentic expression, rather than just the theme or the setting.
