Our Teaching Method and Student Progress
A closer look at how we turn homework struggles into independent learning habits. Explore our diagnostic process, our Jayanagar study environment, and the progress our students achieve.
This video is a parent's perspective on what they thought wasn't possible for their three-year-old until they joined our program. You can see how we work on developing fine motor skills, visual identification, and a genuine enjoyment for reading and worksheets, even at a very early age.
Here, I explain a crucial first step in our process: the diagnostic test. I believe in understanding each child's unique abilities rather than just looking at their age or grade. This allows me to create a truly personalized learning plan that starts them at a comfortable level and builds from there.
Imagine your child starting their homework without any reminders. This video shows how our daily practice builds that kind of self-motivation and responsibility. You'll see students using both our traditional worksheets and the digital Kumon Connect platform, developing problem-solving skills on their own.
I am so grateful for feedback like this from our parents. This review highlights our focus on treating each child as an individual and making the learning process enjoyable. It speaks to the core of my teaching philosophy: understanding a child's needs comes first.
This is what our classroom is all about: children deeply engaged in their work. We teach them *how* to learn, which means developing focus, discipline, and the confidence to tackle problems independently. These are the skills that create lifelong learners.
This is Kumon Connect, our digital learning platform. It offers the same proven worksheets on a tablet, giving families the flexibility to learn anytime, anywhere. Here you see a student proudly displaying her completed digital worksheet, showing how technology can make learning consistent and fun.
Celebrating our Gold Trophy winners at the Advanced Student Honor Roll (ASHR) ceremony. It's a proud moment for me, the parents, and most importantly, the students who have worked so hard. This is a testament to their dedication and the progress they've achieved.
About this collection
We don't believe in teaching to a grade level or age. When your child joins us, the first step is always a diagnostic test to see exactly where they are. This allows me to build a plan that fits their current ability, not their grade, so they can actually master the basics and gain the confidence to handle tougher topics later.
How We Approach Learning
Many parents come to me because they are tired of the daily homework battles. My goal at the Jayanagar center is to remove the need for constant reminders. By focusing on daily practice—using our proprietary worksheets for English and maths—students develop a rhythm. It is not about cramming for a test; it is about building the discipline to sit down, focus, and solve problems without waiting for someone else to provide the answer.
The Diagnostic Advantage
The diagnostic test is the foundation of our personalised approach. I look at where a child stands right now, not where they are 'supposed' to be according to their school report card. If a child has gaps in their foundational skills, we fill them. If they are ready to move ahead, we let them advance. This keeps them challenged but not overwhelmed.
Why Choose Our Jayanagar Center
- Independent Thinking: We guide students so they learn how to learn. This builds confidence that extends far beyond our classrooms.
- Hybrid Flexibility: Whether you prefer in-center sessions at our 7th Block location or the digital convenience of Kumon Connect on a tablet, we have options to fit your family's routine.
- Individual Attention: I personally oversee progress, conducting regular reviews and oral reading checks to ensure your child is actually grasping the material, not just completing pages.
We celebrate the small wins, from mastering phonics to solving complex equations. If you are looking for an after-school program in Bangalore that prioritises your child's long-term academic growth, I invite you to see our method in action.
Indu
I'm Indu, and I look at every child as an individual, not just a grade or age. My goal isn't just to help with homework, but to give kids the tools to figure things out on their own. It’s rewarding to see shy students walk in and leave with the confidence to tackle any challenge, whether in maths or English.
