Behind the Scenes: My Bridal Styling Process
I don't just rent out outfits; I make sure you look perfect. Here is a real, unpolished look at the work that happens behind the scenes to get your bridal look ready.
It's all in the details. Here, I'm working with the makeup artist to ensure the jewellery, like this off-white choker and sheesh patti, complements the makeup perfectly. We even strategically draped the dupatta to hide a small mark on the blouse.
The journey of a bride. From sitting in jeans with just the blouse and makeup on, to the final look with a fully sequined gold lehenga, pearl-lined dupatta, and a matching kamarbandh. This is the transformation I love to create.
A makeup and styling tutorial in progress. This shows the base work for a Heeramandi-inspired look, building up the makeup and then layering the heavy jewellery, including a passa and nath, on our ivory and gold outfit.
Getting the Haldi or Mehndi look just right. We paired a deep green velvet blouse with a maroon lehenga and a bright yellow dupatta for a vibrant, festive feel. A little body shimmer adds that perfect pre-wedding glow.
A beautiful moment from a real wedding. It's an honor to be part of such a special day, ensuring the bride feels her most beautiful as she gets ready. This is why I do what I do.
Building a regal look piece by piece. This shows the process of putting on the matha patti and layering the jewellery for a stunning green and red bridal outfit, perfect for a classic wedding.
About Behind the Scenes: My Styling Process
You won't just find me handing over a lehenga and leaving. Whether it’s swapping a zipper for a dori to get that cinched waist or using a quick kacchi silai (temporary stitch) to fix a drape on the spot, I am the one making those final tweaks. If the necklace sits weird or the dupatta isn't pinning right, we fix it right there in the makeup chair. This isn't staging; this is how I make sure you actually feel like royalty.
Creating a look isn't just about putting on a heavy velvet lehenga. It's the little battles we fight during the getting-ready session to ensure everything stays in place.
The 'Feel' Factor
We look at everything. If a dupatta needs to be double-layered to hide a pin or if we need to adjust a matha patti for better balance, we do it. If the vibe is off, we change it—be it swapping jewellery or adjusting the hair accessories until the look is a hit.
Fitting Reality
Most rental places hand you the dress and leave. I’m there in our Sector 62 studio or at your venue, adjusting the flare and checking the fit. If the blouse is loose, I tighten it. If it doesn't zip, we add a dori. It's about ensuring that when you walk out, the outfit fits like it was made for you, not just for the rack.
Makeup-Outfit Sync
I work closely with your makeup artist. If the eyeshadow is heavy, we balance it with the right jewellery. If your jewellery is gold-heavy, we make sure the hair accessories don't clash.
No Posing, Just Fixing
These aren't polished, staged shoots. These photos show the real deal—pinned hair, safety pins, and last-minute adjustments. Because when you walk out, you shouldn't just look good in photos; you should feel comfortable enough to dance, sit, and enjoy your event without worrying about a stray pin or an ill-fitting sleeve.
