I create "Azhagu" (beautiful) miniatures—little pieces of art that fit perfectly on your desk, fridge, or bookshelf. Whether it’s a tiny Ganesha, a floral pattern, or a hand-painted bookmark, these small treasures bring a splash of color to everyday spaces.

A collection of my 'Mini Beauties', 5x5 inch tabletop paintings perfect for gifts. This set includes a variety of subjects, from Ganesha and Radha Krishna to Pichwai cows and Jamini Roy inspired figures, each one a small treasure.

These 4x4 inch framed fridge magnets were a special order for a client in Canada. Each one is a tiny, hand-painted piece of art, featuring various deities and folk art motifs, making for a unique and personal gift.

The collection of fridge magnets before framing. Even on a small scale, I focus on creating sharp, detailed images. It's a joy to see them all together before they head off to their new home.

I never knew making bookmarks would be so much fun! This video showcases 12 different hand-painted bookmarks, each with a unique design, from floral patterns and Buddha to Japanese dolls and folk art birds.

This video shows the process and variety of my small paintings. Though they may look easy, creating fine, sharp details on a small canvas requires a steady hand. They are perfect for bringing life to any corner of a house.

About "Azhagu" Miniatures & Thoughtful Gifts

Creating these 5x5 inch paintings is deceptively tricky because the smaller the canvas, the sharper the details need to be. Every brushstroke matters here, which is why I use rigid canvas boards and finish them with a durable varnish to keep the colors vibrant. These arrive ready to display with their own wooden easel stand, so you don't have to worry about finding the right hardware.

My miniature collection is built on the idea that art shouldn't just be reserved for grand statement walls. Sometimes, a tiny painting on your work desk or a colorful bookmark is exactly what you need to add a bit of character to your day.

Why Miniatures Matter

Each piece is a labor of love. Whether it is a hand-painted fridge magnet featuring a deity or a set of bookmarks, I focus on the same level of detail I apply to my larger canvases.

  • The Medium: I use professional-grade acrylics on rigid canvas boards. This prevents warping and ensures the painting stays crisp.
  • The Finish: Every piece is varnished to protect it from dust, especially important for items like bookmarks or tabletop displays that sit in open spaces.
  • Customization: If you have a specific theme in mind—maybe a traditional Kerala mural Ganesha for a friend or a Pichwai-inspired design for a colleague—I can paint it to order.

Perfect for Gifting

These items are popular for occasions where you want something personal but practical. A miniature with an easel works well as a corporate gift, while my bookmarks are a frequent choice for book lovers. If you are looking for something to send to loved ones, these pieces are lightweight and easy to ship across India or even internationally, often traveling to clients as far as Canada. If you have a last-minute occasion, reach out, and I will let you know what is currently ready for immediate dispatch.
