About For the Little Ones
My rule for kidswear is simple: if it is not safe, I am not making it. These bangles use a lightweight wooden base wrapped in soft satin thread, so there are no sharp edges or plastic beads to worry about. They are durable, vibrant, and designed to handle the inevitable tumbles of playtime while keeping their color intact.
When I design for children, I keep the 'play' in playtime. You will not find any plastic here. I use sustainably sourced wood for the base and wrap it tight with vibrant, non-toxic satin ribbons. The embellishments are the real stars though—tiny elephant charms and real ghungroos that create a soft, musical sound when they move.
It is a bit of a pakka kaam (solid work) process. I ensure every charm is securely attached because I know how active kids are. Whether it is for a festive occasion, a family wedding, or just to add some color to a daily outfit, these pieces are meant to be worn, shaken, and loved.
Because I create these in small batches at my home studio in Hyderabad, many of my designs are limited editions.
