Hand-Painted Wooden Bangles: Colorful & Psychedelic Statement Pieces

Forget boring jewelry. My wooden bangles are a riot of color, patterns, and soul, all handmade right here in my home studio.

Here’s how the square Banjara Bangle looks on the wrist. It’s designed to be a bold statement piece that showcases intricate, hand-painted details from every angle.

This is what I call color therapy in a bangle! A close-up look at the vibrant, psychedelic patterns of my fabric-wrapped Banjara Bangle.

My Rangrez bangle is pure art on wood. I let my imagination run free, covering the entire surface with intricate, psychedelic floral and abstract scribbles.

The Daydream bangle is a special custom piece. It's wrapped in color-changing thread and adorned with canvas circles and little dragonfly charms, which signify new beginnings.

Watch me bring a Maati bangle to life. I use a white paint pen to draw rustic, intuitive designs inspired by village homes onto the earthy red wooden base.

I'm so excited to share my latest batch of Maati bangles. They feature different rural patterns like ambis and haathis, and the rustic red color gives them an authentic, earthy feel.

Here's a quiet moment with my beagle, Bingo, and one of my favorite creations, the 'Bingo and Bangle'. The bright colors and playful design always make me smile.

About this collection

Each bangle starts as a plain wooden base, which I then wrap in my original art printed on fabric, followed by hand-stitched borders. They are not flimsy; they have a solid weight to them, making them perfect for that stacked look. Since I make these in small batches, the patterns shift and change—so you are essentially getting a one-of-a-kind piece that nobody else is wearing.

My jewelry philosophy is simple: no plastic, just pure color. When I make a bangle, whether it is the square-shaped Banjara style or the rustic red Maati series, I want it to be a piece of art that survives the daily grind.

I personally paint the rims and stitch the edges using a variety of threads and beads. If you see a piece you love, grab it, because once that batch of fabric or that specific charm is gone, I cannot recreate it exactly. It is all about 'pakka kaam' (solid work), with every 'dhaga' and 'tanka' placed by hand.

Why my bangles are different

  • Weight and Feel: These are not light, cheap accessories. They have the sturdy feel of real wood, which I find very grounding.
  • No Plastic: You will find wood, metal, glass, and fabric in my work, but never plastic beads.
  • One-of-a-Kind: Because I work in small batches, your bangle is likely the only one of its kind.

Whether you are styling a simple kurti or going for a full-on bohemian look, these bangles are conversation starters. If you have a specific color theme or a wild idea, feel free to reach out. I love doing custom work and turning your imagination into something you can wear.
