About Deep Dive: Certified & Intensive Courses
These are not lecture-based workshops. Whether we meet at my Kathalaya centre in Bangalore or at a residential retreat in the Himalayas, be prepared to step outside your comfort zone. We spend our time exploring the 'Voice Toolkit' (pitch, pace, and pause) while learning how to use your body and silence to command attention. Expect a full immersion that demands presence.
You come to these intensives to move from reading stories to telling them. Many people enter my classroom relying heavily on a book, and by the end of our three days, they are standing tall, using their own voice to paint pictures in the air.
The Path to Certification
We break down the craft into manageable but challenging modules. You will learn:
- Voice Modulation: Using tone, volume, and rhythm to keep an audience curious.
- Body Language: How to use your physical space and gestures to make a character breathe.
- Narrative Structure: Creating a plot that flows, whether it is a business case study or a folk tale.
- Deep Listening: This is the bedrock of my training. Before you can be a teller, you must be a listener. We practice exercises that help you clear the noise and tune into the story's essence.
Where We Meet
My training happens in spaces designed for movement and expression. We hold regular intensive courses at the Kathalaya Centre in BTM Layout, Bangalore, and I also travel to conduct sessions in Delhi and across India. Occasionally, we host residential retreats in the Himalayas—these are unique, immersive experiences where we live the stories we tell, often working late into the night to explore themes of silence, conflict, and resolution.
Why This Matters
This is not about tricks or performance; it is about finding your Anthardhwani—the voice inside all the noise. Whether you are a teacher looking to engage a classroom, a parent wanting to bond with your child, or a professional needing to communicate with impact, these courses give you the tools to express yourself confidently. You will leave with a certificate, yes, but more importantly, you leave with a toolkit of experiences that belong to you.
