Art at Kalarang Club isn't about making perfect drawings. It’s a space where kids explore their creative voice through canvas, clay, and colors, building focus and confidence without the pressure to be 'perfect'.

A group of proud artists from Day 1 of our art camp. They just finished their beautiful hibiscus flower paintings, each one a unique expression of what they learned about color mixing and brush strokes.

Look at that fantastic result. This student proudly displays his completed floral painting, showing off the new techniques he learned during our first day of art camp.

I always make sure to give each child individual attention. Here, I'm guiding a student through the initial drawing phase of our painting project, helping them build a strong foundation for their artwork.

A peek into the painting process at our summer camp. You can see the kids focused on their canvases, mixing colors and bringing their scenic paintings to life step by step.

This video captures the satisfying process of painting, from laying down the first strokes of color to adding the final leafy details. The kids are learning one-stroke painting techniques to create these lovely hibiscus flowers.

Curiosity is the first step in art. Before drawing, these two girls are closely observing a picture of a butterfly on a tablet, learning about its patterns and colors to inspire their own creations.

This session was all about the world of butterflies. After learning about them, the children got to work creating their own colorful butterfly art, expressing their views on why it's important to be kind to animals.

Using oil pastels to explore color blending and texture. This activity is great for kids to experiment freely with color, creating bold and vibrant abstract designs.

A collage from the first batch of our 2024 Art Camp. It was a day filled with painting, cutting, and creating, and you can see the wonderful variety of work the children produced.

A glimpse into our cool summer vacation art sessions. The children are deeply engaged in painting flowers, learning about composition and color while having a great time.

About Canvas, Colors & Creativity

Before a child touches a canvas, we do small 'right-brain' warm-up exercises. Whether it's blind contour drawing or observational nature studies, these activities calm the mind and lower the pressure, allowing their real creative confidence to come out naturally.

Why We Focus on the Process, Not the Print

Many parents ask me why we don't focus on 'getting it right'. The truth is, when a child worries about making a mistake, they stop experimenting. At our sessions—whether it's canvas painting in Noida, clay sculpting in Mumbai, or our online global classes—we create a judgment-free zone. We use oil pastels for vibrant blending, acrylics for bold storytelling, and clay to ground their senses.

What We Actually Do

  • Right-Brain Warm-ups: We start with fun, low-stakes exercises. This helps the 'inner critic' relax so the child can dive into the main project with focus.
  • Observation-Led Art: We don't just draw from memory. We look at textures, patterns, and light. If we are painting butterflies, we talk about their wings, their patterns, and why they matter in nature.
  • The Mix: I bring in diverse mediums—canvas, clay, and mixed media—because every child expresses themselves differently. Some find their calm in the texture of clay, while others find their voice in the sweep of a brush.

Who Is This For?

Whether your child is 5 or 13, and whether you are joining us in person in Sector 76, Noida, or Dombivli, Mumbai, or hopping onto our Zoom batch from the US or Canada, the goal remains the same: Bas unhe explore karne do (Just let them explore).

We keep our batches intentionally small (6-10 kids). This isn't just for safety; it ensures I can give each artist the individual attention they need to grow, whether they are here for a single thematic workshop or a 10-day holistic camp.

Hi, I’m Sharvari. I started Kalarang Club because I saw how much pressure kids face to be perfect at everything. Here, we trade that pressure for a paintbrush, creating a space where the process of making art is just as important as the final piece.
