About Exploring Colour & Composition
At Kalabhumi, we do not just talk about colour theory; we show you how to apply it. Whether you are struggling to blend oils for a portrait or trying to get your acrylic gradients right, my team works with you to fix the underlying issues in your technique. We emphasize the basics—measurement, perspective, and layering—before moving to complex compositions, ensuring you build the confidence to handle any medium from day one.
Art is a discipline that requires patience, especially when you are learning to master mediums like oil, acrylic, or soft pastels. Many of our students arrive here having never held a brush, worried about how to even start a layout. That is where we step in.
Our curriculum for Colour and Composition is structured to help you understand how light interacts with form. We guide you through:
- The Foundation: We start with sketching and measurement. If your base is weak, your colour will never pop.
- Medium Mastery: You will learn to control flow with watercolours, create rich, opaque depth with acrylics, and master the slow, meditative layering required for oil painting.
- Compositional Balance: Understanding the golden ratio and where to place your focal point is what separates a hobby drawing from a professional artwork.
We are located in Sector 12, Dwarka, and we welcome everyone—from school students preparing for BFA entrance exams to homemakers and working professionals looking for a creative outlet. You are not just learning to copy a picture; you are learning to translate your vision onto the canvas. Whether you want to master hyper-realism or abstract landscapes, we provide the studio space, the still-life setups, and the feedback you need to grow.
