About Heels Performance
When we train in heels, we start by conditioning the ankles and engaging the core before we even try a routine. You might think it is all about the attitude, but the technique relies on how you distribute your weight. I teach you to land softly and transition between steps so you walk away feeling powerful.
Learning to dance in heels is a journey where posture meets performance. My approach to heels choreography focuses on building a foundation of strength. We work on isolations, weight distribution, and fluidity to ensure you feel secure while moving. Heels dance requires a specific kind of control. We start by strengthening the ankles and learning how to protect the knees while executing sharp lines.
In my sessions, we explore how to fuse different styles like jazz, hip-hop, and afro beats into a cohesive heel routine. It is not just about executing the steps. It is about how you communicate the music. We spend time on musicality, learning to hit the accents and hold the pauses that make a performance stand out. Whether we are practicing a slow, rhythmic flow or high-energy work, the goal is to enhance your natural movement style.
For wedding performances or individual acts, I prioritize camera blocking. This means we plan your formations and angles so you look your best from every perspective. We cover everything from the basic walk to complex floor work and hair whips. You do not need to be a professional dancer to start. My classes cater to your current skill level, helping you build confidence one step at a time. I am based in Delhi and offer both in-person workshops and private training sessions. If you are ready to explore your potential, bring your heels and let us work on your craft.
