About Luxury Resin Wedding Invitations (Kankotri)
When you choose a resin Kankotri, you are essentially freezing your wedding invite in time. I carefully seal your original card first to make sure the resin doesn't stain the paper, then I pour a 12x16 inch layer with your choice of floral borders and metal lettering. Because I need to ensure the resin cures properly without any yellowing, this whole process takes about 30 to 40 days. It is not a quick job, but the result is a piece that lasts a lifetime.
Why a Resin Kankotri?
Most wedding invitations are printed, read, and eventually discarded. By preserving your Kankotri in resin, you turn a paper announcement into a solid, displayable piece of art. It’s perfect for gifting to the couple or keeping as a memory of your own special day.
The Process
I don’t take shortcuts here. Here is what goes into making one:
- Paper Preparation: The card is sealed first. This is a non-negotiable step to prevent the paper from turning transparent or getting stained by the liquid resin.
- Design & Layout: We can use dried petals, pearls, or crystals like Rose Quartz to frame the text. The font is applied using high-quality metal stickers for that premium gold finish.
- Casting: I use a deep-pour, non-yellowing epoxy resin. The standard size is 12x16 inches, giving it a substantial weight and presence.
- Finishing: After the pour, it goes through a multi-stage sanding and polishing process until it’s crystal clear.
Customization Details
Every piece is made at my studio in Mumbai. You can choose the floral theme to match your wedding decor—whether you want bright pinks, classic blues, or something minimal. The final plaque comes in a custom black MDF or acrylic box frame, ready to hang on a wall or display on an easel.
Note: Because I handle everything from drying the flowers to the final resin pour, I cannot accept rush orders. Please plan your booking at least 40 days before you need the final piece.
Shlok Dagly
I’m Shlok, and I’m the guy who thinks wedding invites shouldn't just be read and tossed. I’ve spent the last four and a half years obsessing over resin techniques to make sure that when you look at your Kankotri in ten years, it still looks perfect. I handle the preservation personally, from the floral layout to the final polish.
