Behind the Scenes of My Resin Art Studio in Mumbai
Ever wonder what really goes into turning wedding flowers into keepsakes? It is not just about pouring resin. Here is a look inside my Mulund studio and the hard work behind every piece I create.
It's not just about creating art, it's also about the finishing and presentation. This video shows the care I take in finishing, polishing, and packing each piece so it reaches you perfectly.
A little throwback to my first ever art exhibition at The Bombay Art Society. It was a huge milestone in my journey from engineer to full-time artist, and I'm so grateful for the support.
A glimpse from my first exhibition. It's an amazing feeling to share my work and passion with others. This is just the first of many to come!
About My Process & Studio Life
People often ask why my work takes 25 to 40 days, and the answer is in the finishing. I don't just pour resin and walk away. Every piece goes through hours of sanding and polishing to get that glass-like clarity you see in the photos. If you are looking to get a piece made, this is the time we spend ensuring your flowers and memories are encapsulated without bubbles or imperfections. It is intense, but that is the only way to get it right.
From Engineering to Art
I started this journey as an engineer, but my obsession with creating things that last took over. Four and a half years later, what started as a time-pass project is now my full-time business. My studio in Mulund West is where I spend most of my day, managing everything from dehydrating wedding varmalas to carefully pouring layers of resin.
Why the Process Matters
When you send me your flowers, they are delicate. Whether it is a bouquet, a varmala, or petals from a special occasion, I treat them as if they were my own. I have to assess the condition of the flowers, dry them out, and then work them into a design that fits your vision. It is a slow process, but it ensures that when you finally hold that resin block, it feels solid, clear, and durable.
What I Actually Do
- Surface Prep: Sanding down resin surfaces to remove scratches and haze.
- Finishing: Polishing pieces until they reflect light perfectly.
- Packing: Ensuring your fragile keepsake is wrapped securely enough to survive shipping anywhere in India.
I share this because I believe in transparency. If you want something quick, I might not be your guy. But if you want a custom keepsake that is built with patience and attention to detail, that is exactly what I offer. If you have questions about how your specific items might look in resin, just drop me a message. We can figure out the design, the layout, and the best way to display your memories—vagera vagera.
