About Lightweight Party Lehengas
I build my lehengas with a 4-5 meter flare that actually moves, rather than just sitting heavy. I use soft net and georgette with built-in can-can, so you get the volume you want for the sangeet stage without feeling like you are carrying extra weight.
When I design a party lehenga, my first goal is to ensure you aren't constantly adjusting your dupatta or tripping over excess fabric. I favor premium Italian crepe, soft net, and georgette because they drape beautifully but remain light. For my 'Yuthika' collection, I leaned into pastel hues and 3D floral appliqué because they feel fresh and modern, perfectly suited for bridesmaids or a sangeet performance.
I focus heavily on construction. Every set includes structured padding and invisible hemming so the outfit sits perfectly. If you want that dramatic silhouette, I include a built-in can-can that provides volume without the traditional stiffness of old-school heavy layers.
Since many of you come to me with specific ideas, we don't just pick off the rack. We start by discussing your color palette and venue. From there, we work on custom sleeve lengths—whether you want dramatic balloon sleeves, cape-style drapes, or a sleek one-shoulder look—to match your personality. The process involves one or two fitting trials at my Vashi studio to ensure the silhouette is tailored to you, not just to a size chart.
