Bedrooms: Personal Sanctuaries

I believe your bedroom shouldn't just be a place to sleep—it's your recovery zone. From custom-built walk-in closets to quiet reading corners, let's design a space that finally lets you breathe.

In this master bedroom, I added a wall to create a spacious walk-in closet, accessible through a beautiful arched doorway. The custom four-poster bed and rattan bedside tables were designed to fit the space perfectly, creating a serene and luxurious retreat.

A peek inside the custom walk-in closet I designed for the master bedroom. The light wood cabinetry with minimalist black hardware provides ample storage, while the arched niche adds a decorative touch that ties back to the home's Spanish-inspired architecture.

This bedroom was designed for two boys, blending the home's Spanish theme with fun, personal touches. The twin black metal beds are separated by a rattan chest of drawers, set against a striped wallpaper and a gallery wall of sports and motivational art.

A closer look at one of the twin beds in the boys' room. The black iron bed frame, patterned pillow, and warm lighting from the leather sconce create a cozy and personalized sleeping nook.

This guest bedroom features warm, mustard-colored walls that create an inviting and cozy atmosphere. The wall is decorated with a collection of woven baskets, adding texture and an eclectic, global feel to the space.

The master bedroom in the 'Breeze Home' project is designed to be a calming retreat. A neutral color palette, soft textiles, and natural wood tones create a soothing environment. The room includes a cozy reading corner and a dedicated work-from-home desk space.

This guest bedroom from the 'Breeze Home' has a warm and rustic vibe. The rattan headboard and simple white armoire are complemented by woven baskets on top, which add texture and provide extra storage.

About this collection

A truly restful bedroom often comes down to storage that doesn't feel like storage. I often push for custom floor-to-ceiling joinery or walk-in closet partitions that blend into the room's architecture rather than cluttering it. Whether we're carving out an arched niche for a vanity or designing a headboard that incorporates your bedside lighting switches, we prioritize a layout that feels open, breathable, and calm, not just filled with furniture.

Your bedroom is the one place in your home that should purely reflect you. I approach bedroom design not as a collection of pieces, but as a holistic experience. If you are struggling with a room that feels cramped or lacks character, the fix usually lies in better space planning and a shift in how we use texture and light.

Why Custom Matters

Most bedrooms suffer from 'showroom fatigue'—everything matches perfectly, but nothing feels personal. I focus on high-impact custom details:

  • Integrated Storage: Think walk-in closets behind arched dividers or floor-to-ceiling wardrobes that mimic wall paneling to keep the room visually quiet.
  • Tactile Comfort: I love playing with materials. A cane-backed bed frame, linen textiles, or brass accents on drawers add layers of warmth that synthetic finishes simply cannot replicate.
  • The 'Retreat' Factor: We often focus on the bed, but I find the 'moments' matter more. A dedicated reading nook with a vintage armchair or a well-planned study corner creates a multifunctional space that respects your need for both rest and productivity.

The Modern Spanish Influence

Many of my bedroom projects incorporate elements of Modern Spanish design. This isn't just about arched doorways. It's about how that arch frames the light, how the cement tile floors feel cool underfoot, and how we balance dark iron hardware with light, soft wood tones. It's a look that feels rooted and substantial, providing a grounded foundation for the most private room in your house.

Whether you need a full bedroom overhaul, a simple furniture refresh, or a complete layout change to accommodate a new walk-in closet, my goal is to make sure every square foot serves both your aesthetic and your need for peace.
