Outdoor Living & Patio Design
I believe your home should not stop at the living room door. Whether it is a sprawling deck or a cozy balcony, let us make your outdoor space a natural extension of your daily life.
This outdoor seating deck is located across from a courtyard garden, creating a private oasis. The arched colonnade is a classic Spanish architectural feature, and the traditional black lanterns enhance the home's exterior charm.
I furnished the outdoor deck with a set of black metal armchairs and a sofa, which ties in with the iron railing details used inside the home. Layered with patterned cushions and surrounded by plants, it's the perfect place to unwind.
A closer look at the comfortable seating on the outdoor deck. The white cushions provide a crisp contrast to the black metal frames, while a colorful kilim-style pillow adds a touch of pattern and warmth.
This is the outdoor kitchen I designed for the Modern Spanish Home, located in a covered arched gazebo. It's fully equipped for barbeque nights and features warm wood cabinetry and a durable granite countertop.
Even a small balcony has great potential. For this tight outdoor space, I went vertical with the greenery, using a series of wall-mounted planters to create a living wall. It's a simple solution that adds so much life and charm.
About this collection
When I design outdoor spaces, the biggest challenge is selecting materials that actually last in our Bengaluru climate. I focus on sourcing fabrics and hardware that withstand both the harsh summer sun and the monsoon rains, so your patio remains a usable, comfortable retreat rather than a space that requires constant maintenance.
Transitioning from indoors to outdoors requires more than just placing a few chairs on a balcony. My approach to outdoor living centers on creating a seamless flow that encourages you to step outside more often. Whether it is a Modern Spanish-inspired patio or a compact balcony, I design with two things in mind: durability and atmosphere.
For larger decks, I often integrate masonry features like arches and wrought iron, drawing inspiration from traditional Spanish architecture. This creates a timeless look that feels like a natural extension of the home rather than an add-on. If you are looking for an outdoor kitchen, I plan for structural necessities like dedicated drainage, plumbing for BBQ setups, and resilient countertops that stand up to the elements.
For tighter urban footprints, I look upward. Vertical greenery and wall-mounted planters are my go-to solutions to introduce nature without sacrificing precious floor space. By layering lighting, outdoor-rated textiles, and strategic plant placement, even a small balcony can become a morning coffee spot or an evening escape.
When we start, we look at how you actually use the space. Do you need a BBQ zone, a quiet reading nook, or a place to entertain? I guide you through the selection of weather-proof finishes, ensuring your investment is one you can enjoy year-round.
