Travel Log: Cinematic Landscapes & Scenes
I hunt for light across continents, documenting the quiet corners of the French Riviera and the vast, textured fields of Provence.
A yacht cruises on the deep blue water off the coast of St. Tropez, France. This image captures the essence of a summer day on the French Riviera.
A weathered, colorful fishing boat named 'Olivier' rests on the shore in St. Tropez. The peeling paint and classic design tell a story of its life at sea.

An ivy-covered building with classic blue shutters in St. Tropez, likely the Dior restaurant. It's a perfect example of the town's chic, picturesque scenery.
A vintage Mini Moke car, a classic sight in St. Tropez, parked on a sunny street. This captures the fun and stylish vibe of the French Riviera.
An aerial drone shot of lavender fields in Provence, France. The diagonal lines create a strong graphic pattern, showcasing the beauty of agricultural landscapes.
About Travel Log: Landscapes & Scenes
I produce these images as museum-grade Giclée prints on 308 gsm archival cotton rag. Because I shoot these landscapes specifically for large format, the detail holds up even when scaled to 24 by 36 inches on your wall, preserving the texture of the red rocks in Roussillon or the delicate petals of the lavender fields.
Photography is how I process time. When I am shooting in places like St. Tropez or the mountains of Bavaria, I am not looking for the postcard shot. I am looking for the geometry of the light, the way a fishing boat like the Olivier catches the morning sun, or how the drone reveals the structural history of a Genoese tower in Corsica.
The Process
My travel work relies on a blend of tools. I use the Leica Q3 for street scenes where I need to stay mobile and candid, and the DJI Mavic 3 for aerial perspectives that provide context to these landscapes. For the Provence lavender series, I waited for the specific golden hour light that turns those long rows into graphic patterns.
Technical Quality
These are not standard digital files. Each piece is processed with a signature desaturated color grade that emphasizes form over flash. When you order a print, you are receiving an open edition fine art work with a digital Certificate of Authenticity. I ship them in reinforced, crush-proof art tubes to ensure they arrive in the same condition I captured them. If you are looking to fill a specific space in your home or office, I can help you select the right image that fits the scale and mood of your room.
David Courbit
I am David, and people call me Jetlag because I am rarely in one place for long. My camera is how I interpret the world, whether I am flying a drone over a coastal tower in Corsica or capturing the pastel geometry of the French Riviera.
