About Commercial Photography & Film
My Philosophy
I tell stories with a camera, simple as that. Whether it's a single photograph or a short film, I chase light and the feeling behind a moment. Most days, I’m working for brands, hotels, or fashion labels - and honestly, I get called Jetlag for a reason.
What I Create
- Cinematic brand storytelling for campaigns, ads, and social
- Editorial fashion photography with a moody, lived-in vibe
- Luxury destination visuals for travel, hotels, and high-end products
My thing is building a world around your product, not just selling it. Big on classic cinema, so you’ll see that influence everywhere in my work.
My Style & Approach
- Short films aren’t just promos - they’re mini stories. Could be a shopping day in NYC or a moody thriller for a tech brand.
- Photography means mood, shadows, and city life, but I’m into studio work too. Sometimes black & white just hits different.
- If you need something wild, I’m a freediver - so underwater commercial shoots are in the mix. I’ve shot summer collections underwater for brands wanting something new.
My Toolkit
I’m hands-on with all editing, color grading, and post-production. Gearwise, it’s Sony Alpha, Leica, drones, and underwater rigs. Not just fancy toys - it’s how I get the look.
How It Works
We start with your story, build out the concept, and then make something real. I’m NYC-based but work globally - studio, street, or underwater, wherever the story goes.

My Story
Hey, I’m David, but Jetlag works too. I’m in NYC—well, when I’m not hopping between gigs in Hamburg or Santa Fe. My partner and I just did a minimoon in Tokyo. If I’m not shooting for work, I’m probably freediving somewhere, chasing that underwater quiet. Love how light bends down there, and yeah, I ski when I can. My life’s all over my socials—travel, my partner, our cat (he travels, too). Caffeine? Never not caffeinated.
My Work
What I shoot - Commercial photography, moody brand short films, hotel and hospitality content, plus fine art prints. I go cinematic.
My vibe - Filmmaker at heart, I tell stories—less product, more mood. Classic cinema, but make it modern.
Who I’ve worked with - Four Seasons, Plaza Hotel, Sofitel, Victorinox, Banana Republic. Visual storytelling for luxury hospitality.
How I work - Obsessed with gear—Sony, Leica, sometimes even iPhone. It’s all about the right tool for the story.
